LOCKDOWN DRILL

We wanted our parents to know that the school practiced a lockdown drill on Wednesday morning. Unfortunately, the world we live in requires us to be prepared in the event our students would ever need to stay put and not leave the classrooms. Your child may have questions or concerns that you can address.

AFTER SCHOOL CUPSTACKING

The after school cupstacking program will begin next week for students in grades K-8.  It will run on Wednesdays for students in grades K-3 and on Fridays for students in grades 4-8. The information form with the permission slip was sent out with this newsletter. No child will be permitted to stay without a signed permission form. We hope many of you will find this a fun and worthwhile program for your child.

BASKETBALL SCHEDULE

The midget girls' basketball team has one more week of games. With only 5 players and no substitutes, this team is really having to work hard and play as a team. Next week's games are:

Mon., Feb. 6 @ home vs. Shoshoni  @ 4 PM   Tues.,  Feb. 7 @ home vs. Araphoe  @ 4 PM

Come and cheer on the team!

DUCT TAPE WALLETS FOR SALE

The high school students in Western Heritage Lutheran Academy are selling their homemade duct tape wallets for $5 in a variety of colors and options.  This is a small fundraiser for WHLA. Additional info may be found on the bulletin board by the school office.

GOING SHOPPING?

Now that Christmas is over, we can concentrate on our own shopping needs for gas, groceries, clothes, dining out, outdoor equipment, vacations, or maybe shopping for birthday or Valentine's gifts. Orders are placed through the school every Sunday evening. There are hundreds of stores you may order cards from; the complete list can be found on the webpage glscrip.com. The school earns a percentage (2% and up) from each of the stores.  The order forms are by the school office. You may place your order with payment in the payment box in the school office or in the drop box at the Scrip Corner by the church office. PLEASE, give this program a try! The profit potential is huge if everyone would get on board and use it on a regular basis.

"A HEART 4 TLS"

Tell all your family and friends to come and enjoy a "lovely"  Sunday afternoon, Feb. 12, for a pie and ice cream benefit,  "A Heart 4 TLS" from 3-5 PM at St. Margaret's gym. The admission fee will get you a great dessert and the opportunity to bid on some wonderful cookie jars and homemade pies. The variety show will also be quite entertaining!

BIBLE VERSE for next week

"Come now, and let us reason together", says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18
